This course applies the material covered in a general chemistry course for engineers to the skills needed for environmental engineering. The material covered in your introductory chemistry course will be built upon and deepened so that you will be prepared for other courses in your curriculum (CIVE 3813 and 4833). The course supports Outcome 1 of the BSCE degree program accreditation requirements: an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
