Gals in Green Infrastructure (GiGI) is an outreach and education group created from the Foltz Research Group and Schussler Stormwater Lab. Together we engage the public and students on topics related to green infrastructure, which is a nature-based alternative to traditional grey/hard infrastructure like concrete and asphalt. We often teach topics related to water quality and do demos related to water treatment. Our group has participated in Summer Bridge, Discovery Days, Women in STEAM, Girl Scouts, and school events. If you are interested in us visiting your school or event, please reach out to Dr. Mary Foltz.
